Overview
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining efficient manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality, cost-effective production in compliance with Saudi regulations and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Optimization: Develop and implement efficient manufacturing processes, workflows, and procedures to improve productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness
- Production Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and schedule production activities, ensuring timely delivery and optimal resource utilization
- Equipment & Tooling: Identify, evaluate, and select appropriate equipment and tooling; ensure maintenance and calibration are up to standard
- Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality control measures; conduct inspections, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to maintain product quality
- Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and implement process enhancements for efficiency and waste reduction
- Risk Assessment: Identify risks and hazards in the manufacturing process; develop mitigation strategies and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of processes, procedures, and specifications; generate reports on production metrics and improvements
- Cost Analysis: Analyze production costs, identify areas for cost reduction, and implement strategies to optimize expenses without compromising quality
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with design engineers, production supervisors, and quality control personnel to ensure smooth manufacturing operations
- Compliance: Stay updated with Saudi and international regulations, standards, and best practices related to manufacturing, safety, and quality control
Qualifications And Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, tools, and techniques
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and process simulation; experience with ERP/manufacturing software is a plus
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools for process monitoring and improvement
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies
- Knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001)
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, and teamwork skills
- Strong communication abilities; English required, Arabic is an advantage.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in regulatory compliance and safety standards relevant to Saudi Arabia
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in Saudi Arabia or the GCC region
Preferred Experience
- Experience in sectors such as metal manufacturing, automotive, shipbuilding, or oil industry components is highly valued
- Familiarity with Saudi regulatory compliance and licensing processes for manufacturing
