Diploma in Survey Engineering or a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Quantity Surveying.

Job Overview

The Managing Quantity Surveyor optimizes project margins and adds value to construction projects through proactive involvement in procurement, cost management, and reporting. The role aims to derive the best value from suppliers and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct monthly valuations of work in progress, including forecasting final costs and sales.
  2. Prepare and monitor project cash flow forecasts.
  3. Measure, value, submit, and negotiate contract variations.
  4. Advise project staff on commercial and contractual matters, including reviewing and drafting correspondence.
  5. Prepare, submit, and negotiate final accounts for projects.
  6. Vet subcontractor tenders and contracts commercially.
  7. Certify subcontractor monthly valuations and final accounts.
  8. Ensure adherence to business commercial processes at the project level.
  9. Assist in preparing and adhering to project purchasing targets and budgets.
  10. Manage and produce accurate formal reports in line with business schedules.
  11. Possess in-depth knowledge of cost planning, estimating, and budget management to maintain financial control throughout project lifecycles.
  12. Proficient in contract administration, including drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts and handling disputes.
  13. Exhibit strong project management skills to oversee timelines, resources, and deliverables.
  14. Conduct cost analysis, prepare detailed reports, and identify cost-saving opportunities with excellent analytical skills.
  15. Lead teams effectively and communicate proficiently with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
  16. Knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP, is essential.

Experience
