Managing Director - Organic Dates Production

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and execute the company’s long-term vision and strategy for organic dates production and export.
• Identify market opportunities and expand domestic and international market presence.
• Represent the company in key industry, government, and trade forums.

Operational Oversight

• Supervise daily operations including farm management, harvesting, packaging, and logistics.
• Ensure adherence to organic farming standards and sustainability practices.
• Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and resources needed for production.

Financial Management

• Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
• Monitor KPIs and implement cost-control measures to ensure profitability.
• Work with finance teams to ensure efficient funding and investment allocation.

Business Development & Marketing

• Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote organic dates locally and globally.
• Build partnerships with distributors, retailers, and government entities.
• Explore opportunities in value-added products and vertical integration.

Team Leadership

• Build and lead a high-performing management team across agriculture, processing, finance, and sales departments.
• Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and accountability.
• Ensure continuous training and development of staff.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

• Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabia’s regulations and international organic certifications (e.g., USDA Organic, EU Organic).
• Implement quality assurance systems and maintain product integrity throughout the supply chain.

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 10–15 years of leadership experience in agribusiness, preferably in dates or similar fruit production.
• Deep knowledge of organic farming practices and certification processes.
• Strong understanding of Middle Eastern markets and international export logistics.
• Fluent in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
• Strategic thinking with strong business acumen
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Deep understanding of sustainable and organic agricultural trends
• Experience in managing large-scale farming operations
• Knowledge of Saudi Arabia’s agricultural policies and Vision 2030 goals
