Manager - UX Design

Job Description

Role Purpose:
Focuses on user experience and user interface design, ensuring that digital products are intuitive, user-friendly, and visually appealing. This role emphasizes the design, usability, and overall user journey.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Design Execution:
   • Develop and design user interfaces and experiences for digital products and business applications.
   • Ensure a consistent and cohesive design language across all platforms and devices.
   • Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables.
   • Conduct design reviews with developers and system designers; iterate based on feedback.
   • Apply design thinking and Agile methodologies to drive innovation and efficiency.
   • Work with line managers to design and deliver reusable templates for the tech and strategy teams.
2. User Research and Testing:
   • Conduct user research to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
   • Develop user personas, journey maps, and wireframes.
   • Plan and conduct usability testing to gather feedback.
   • Analyze research data and translate insights into design improvements.
   • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in UX/UI design.
3. Stakeholder Management:
   • Engage with team members and stakeholders to gather requirements and offer design solutions for BRDs and user stories.
   • Facilitate communication between design teams and stakeholders.
   • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with project goals.
   • Present design concepts and prototypes for feedback and approval.
   • Incorporate stakeholder feedback into design iterations.

Skills

• Proven track record of designing and delivering successful digital products and business solutions.
• Extensive experience in user research, usability testing, and data analysis.
• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects and methodologies.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, and InVision.
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of design systems and frameworks.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with Agile and Lean UX methodologies.
• Strong skills in designing and building slide decks for executive and operational reporting using MS PowerPoint, Keynote, Canva, etc.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
