Job description

Job Title: Manager - Tech. & Surveillance Security

ROLE MAIN PURPOSE

Will be responsible to provide technical and operational expertise to design and implementation of all security systems & technologies.

Functional Responsibilities

Security System Design and Implementation:

  • Responsible for planning, strategy, and design of security systems & technologies.
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining security systems and security technologies.
  • Responsible for end-to-end project considerations for respective programs, leading a team of in-house and contracted staff to implement major projects.
  • Responsible for ensuring that security systems’ designs and given access privileges are solid and cannot be broken through or exploited.
  • Responsible for reviewing, approving, and processing all security systems data requests.
  • Responsible for the preparation of Security System design guidelines, specifications, and drawings
  • Be the subject matter expert for Physical Access Control Systems, methodology and applications.
  • Be the subject matter expert for Video Surveillance Systems, methodology and applications.
  • Be the subject matter expert for Security Operation Center systems, methodology and applications.
  • Be the subject matter expert for Intruder Detection Systems, methodology and applications.
  • Be the subject matter expert for security systems hardware, methodology and applications.
  • Work with the Security Operation Manager to assess security needs and develop solutions to address vulnerabilities.
  • Collaborate with the Security Operation Manger to integrate physical security measures with technological solutions.
  • Ensure that the security systems design strategy is integrated into operational business plans and oversee the performance and execution of these plans to meet functional objectives and support the company’s overall strategy.
  • Support the preparation of the functional budget and track the performance of the budget ensuring capitalizing on opportunities for continuous improvement and waste elimination
  • Responsible for preparation of projects scope of work, bids, specifications and tendering process for Security and related IT and communication systems.

System Maintenance And Troubleshooting

  • Oversee the regular maintenance and troubleshooting of security systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system functionality.
  • Manage to Identify and resolve technical issues related to security systems, ensuring they are operating efficiently.

Security Infrastructure Upgrades

  • Stay updated on the latest security technologies and industry best practices and recommend upgrades or improvements to Kidana’s security infrastructure.
  • Responsible for the installation and configuration of new security technologies, ensuring proper integration with existing systems.

Collaboration With Security Teams

  • Provide full technical support to other security teams on developing and designing new digital systems, portals, or any automation innovations.
  • Work closely with the Security Operations Center and Security Operations teams to ensure the security systems are functioning as expected and integrate seamlessly with operational procedures.
  • Manage to provide technical support and training security personnel on how to effectively use security systems.

Risk Identification And Mitigation

  • Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities related to security technologies and work with the Security Operations Section to implement mitigation strategies.
  • Review of threat and risk assessments, schematic / detailed systems plan for various projects and ensure security systems design aligned with Kidana guidelines, National regulations / guidelines, international standards, industry best practices and coordinating for approvals.

Documentation And Reporting

  • Responsible for maintaining detailed records of system configurations, changes, and updates.
  • Oversee the preparation of regular reports on the status of security systems, including performance issues, maintenance schedules, and upgrade recommendations.
  • Ensure documented construction supervision is undertaken to confirm ongoing alignment to agreed design.
  • Ensure the efficient, documented commissioning of all security systems.

Qualifications/requirements

  • Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
  • Professional and Technical Certificates (preferred): Project Management Professional (PMP) Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or the Physical Security Professional (PSP), Facility Management Professional (FMP).

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in the security field, specific to Security Planning, Strategy, and design of Security systems with functional knowledge of related IT and communication systems.
