Specific Accountabilities:
HSE Management
  • Utilize Worley's framework to undertake risk assessments of the project through engineering, procurement, and construction, and develop HSE plans to support each project phase.
  • Develop HSE standards, systems, and procedures to support the project(s).
  • Develop and implement HSE training for the project, including orientation, hazard analysis, and safety leadership.
  • Implement a robust contractor management process, including pre-selection, orientation, and performance reviews (both informal and formal).
  • Ensure effective hazard and incident management processes are in place, including the use of Worley's system.
  • Implement effective Emergency Preparedness and Response plans aligned with Worley and Client Crisis Management Plans.
  • Manage local R3 processes and participate in project startup activities to ensure thorough project mobilization.
Personnel
  • Recruit HSE personnel required to support the project.
  • Coach and mentor direct reports and project team members to improve HSE skills and competencies.
HSE Management (Continued)
  • Liaise with HSE professionals to identify and share improvements.
  • Participate in HSE inspections and audits across projects.
Qualifications:
  • Relevant experience as an HSE Manager or Safety professional in a heavy industry environment.
  • Understanding of HSE management principles and practices, and the implementation and improvement of management systems.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and schedules, with strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Strategic planning skills within a commercial environment, with the ability to operate at a senior level.
Management Level
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in an analytical discipline (e.g., Environmental Science).
  • Accredited Auditor qualifications.
