Job Title

Your role:


Philips Capital is the “single source of all customer financing needs” for Philips across all Businesses and Markets globally. These financing solutions range from a standard lease, rental to financial structuring of a complex project finance, insurance backed receivable finance, equity deals including PPPs etc. You will be part of a dynamic “one-stop-shop” for financing solutions and will be actively involved in the sourcing financing facilities and developing innovative financing solutions. You will become a partner with our sales & commercial organizations to grow sales volume, margin, customer retention and satisfaction through financing solutions. While your primary focus will be originating and executing financing deals in KSA, you will also be expected to actively support on projects across Middle East, Turkey & Africa (META market). You will work cross sector i.e. across Health Systems & Personal Health businesses of Philips.


Your responsibilities


  1. Deal Origination & Structuring Financing Solutions: Help sales team win more by providing locally relevant financing products and programs for both the private and public sector customers. The key metrics for success will be the business volumes generated/enabled for the sales & commercial team through financing solutions. Originate & execute both vanilla and structured financing transactions based on trade financing products (Letters of Credit, Doc collection, Avalization, Forfaiting etc.), leasing structures such operating and financial leases (inc. Islamic structures like Murabaha & Ijarah), structured export and project financing structures utilizing ECA/EXIM and multi-lateral/institutional financing solutions.
  2. Risk Analysis & Risk Management: Manage Risk to Philips by assessing deal structures and terms, manage due diligence process, engage with financial institutions & customers and negotiate deal terms and conditions, as appropriate. Carry out detailed financial analysis of the client financials, feasibility reports and develop credit/investment proposals in line with Philips Capital policies and guidelines. Support the Philips Capital Middle East & Africa (META) team for projects in the region, especially in credit evaluations, preparing proposals, internal memorandums and reporting Back office support for financing transactions, including order booking, collections, monitoring, shipments and liaising with banks.
  3. Embed Philips Capital in the Market: Build relationships with key stakeholders and other business units/product specialists to incorporate their expertise and train the sales/business team on selling integrated value propositions from Philips (including financial solutions). Participate in various industry seminars and conference to build presence of Philips Capital in healthcare and banking industry.

You're the right fit if:


Professional with 5-8 years’ experience in leasing arms of banks with experience of working in both the credit department and customer facing (sales) experience of deal origination & execution in a captive financing arm of a corporate in Corporate Banking with strong experience on vanilla (LCs, SBLCs/BGs, Avalisation) and structured (receivables financing, insurance / backed / ECA financed) solutions with strong knowledge of UCP600 / URDG 758 / ISBP. Banking/credit Insurance companies with customer facing experience of cross border deal origination, structuring & execution in project or structured finance areas. Experience of working in KSA. Financial acumen & legal and regulatory knowledge of KSA. Experience of modelling and analyzing P&L, cash flows, balance sheets. Proficiency in English is required; Prior experience of working with/for credit insurers and working on government transactions, PPPs, healthcare projects or infrastructure projects will be a strong plus. A person with good network with financial institutions, leasing companies, and other financiers in the region. Experience of arranging financing for Healthcare projects. Knowledge of Sharia law & SAMA regulations w.r.t. financing. Arabic and/or Turkish speaker is preferred.
