Job Summary:

The Manager of Nursing Education is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing educational programs for nursing staff within the healthcare organization. This role focuses on enhancing the knowledge, skills, and competencies of nursing personnel to improve patient care and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
  • 7 years of experience in the same Field of Nursing education and 3 years same position as Manager for Nursing Education in hospital field
  • Masters in related field is a must.
  • PHD or Doctor of Nursing Education and administration is preferred.
  • Dataflow is a must.
  • Saudi license holder is a plus.
  • Fluent in English.

Job description and responsibilities:

1. Program Development:

  • Develop and update nursing education curricula based on current best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with clinical leaders to identify educational needs for nursing staff across various departments.
  • Create orientation programs for new nursing staff, ensuring they are equipped with essential knowledge and skills.
  • Design specialized training modules for advanced nursing practices, technology use, and patient safety.

2. Implementation and Management:

  • Facilitation of Training through Coordinate and conduct educational sessions, workshops, and hands-on training for nursing staff.
  • Utilize various instructional methods, including lectures, simulations, and e-learning platforms.
  • Manage the scheduling of educational programs, ensuring minimal disruption to patient care services.
  • Oversee the logistics of training sessions, including venue arrangements and resource allocation.

3. Evaluation and Assessment:

  • Assess the effectiveness of educational programs through feedback, surveys, and performance metrics.
  • Analyze outcomes to identify areas for improvement and make necessary adjustments to training programs.
  • Develop and implement competency assessment tools to evaluate nursing staff's clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation standards for nursing education and staff competencies.

4. Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with nursing leaders, clinical educators, and human resources to align educational initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Foster relationships with external educational institutions and professional organizations.
  • Communication:
  • Provide regular updates to nursing leadership regarding educational initiatives, outcomes, and staff development needs.
  • Communicate effectively with nursing staff to promote participation in educational programs.

5. Compliance and Standards:

  • Ensure that all educational programs comply with state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
  • Stay current with changes in nursing education requirements and best practices.
  • Quality Improvement:
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing nursing education and patient care outcomes.
  • Develop strategies to address gaps in nursing knowledge and skills.
