Media Technology Manager - Virtual Production

The Media Technology Manager will play a critical role in the successful implementation and operation of virtual production stages.

This role collaborates closely with the technical and creative teams to ensure the smooth execution of productions utilizing advanced XR, virtual reality, augmented reality, and real-time rendering technologies.

The role demands leadership, technical expertise, and project management skills to manage a multi-disciplinary team and deliver high-quality virtual productions.

Responsibilities include:

1. Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the XR stages.
2. Leading a team of XR specialists, Unreal Engine operators, and other technical staff during setup, shooting, and wrap-up of virtual productions.
3. Collaborating with producers, directors, and creative teams to understand project goals and translate them into actionable production plans.
4. Ensuring all virtual production elements, including LED walls, camera tracking, and real-time rendering systems, are properly calibrated and functional.
5. Monitoring the integration of physical and virtual elements on set to ensure high-quality output.
6. Troubleshooting technical issues during virtual production and working closely with technical teams to resolve them.
7. Providing leadership and technical guidance to the virtual production crew.
8. Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of virtual production tools and technologies such as Unreal Engine, Disguise, Red Spy, and other XR systems.
9. Managing schedules, timelines, and budgets for virtual production projects.
