What you’ll do:

A highly motivated and experienced Manager of Last Mile Operations to lead and optimize our delivery and pickup processes in the Dammam region. This critical role will be responsible for ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and customer-centric last mile delivery operations, as well as overseeing first mile and bulky goods operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of logistics and transportation management, and a proven ability to drive operational excellence in a fast-paced environment. This position is based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities:

Delivery Management:

  • Develop and implement efficient last mile delivery strategies and processes to meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Manage first mile pickup operations, ensuring timely and efficient collection of goods from customers or designated locations.
  • Develop and manage specialized processes for the handling and delivery of bulky or oversized items.
  • Optimize routes and processes to minimize costs and transit times.
  • Oversee daily delivery operations, including route planning, dispatch, and delivery execution.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, delivery cost per unit, and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service quality.
  • Manage and optimize the utilization of delivery resources, including vehicles and personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve delivery issues and exceptions in a timely and effective manner.
  • Collaborate with customer service and other internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth handover of goods for further processing and delivery.
  • Ensure appropriate resources and equipment are available for the safe and efficient transportation of bulky goods.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and high performance.
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities to team members.
  • Prepare regular reports on key operational metrics for senior management.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions to address performance gaps.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies in last mile logistics.
  • Proactively identify and implement innovative solutions to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management or a similar role
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in E-commerce in a related field
  • Strong experience in working as a business partner in delivering better decision support and enabling strategic initiatives which help to improve organization financial performance.
  • Excellent analytical skills as well as strong business acumen.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop project & program work plan and ensure compliance with relevant Stakeholders.
  • Recruit, lead and build a high-performance Project and Program team with ongoing performance reviews.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment and establish harmonious and effective working relationships both within and outside the organization.
  • Promote efficient and effective logistics & supply chain management & processes.
  • Analytical ability (e.g., pivot tables, lookup functions) to gather and interpret data to further develop, recommend and implement solutions
