Job Purpose
- The Manager - Information technology is responsible for overseeing all technology operations within a luxury hospitality and yacht club environment, ensuring seamless IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital guest experiences.
- This role supports critical business functions, including building management systems (BMS), membership databases, POS systems, networking, and digital security.
- The Supervisor - Information technology works closely with multiple departments to enhance operational efficiency, data security, and the overall member and guest experience.
Job Responsibilities
IT Strategy & Infrastructure Management
- Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with the club’s operational and service goals.
- Oversee and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, Wi-Fi, cloud services, and data storage solutions.
- Ensure seamless connectivity across all club facilities, including marina, dining, and recreational areas.
Hospitality & Membership Systems Management
- Manage and optimize hospitality software, including Building Management Systems (BMS), Club Management Systems (CMS), Point of Sale (POS) systems, and customer relationship management (CRM) platforms.
- Ensure smooth integration of technology with guest services, reservations, billing, and loyalty programs.
- Work with vendors to customize and enhance software for club-specific needs.
Cybersecurity & Data Protection
- Develop and implement cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive guest, member, and financial data.
- Conduct regular IT security audits, risk assessments, and compliance checks.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, PCI-DSS) relevant to hospitality and membership organizations.
- Train staff on cybersecurity best practices, data protection, and phishing awareness.
IT Support & User Experience
- Provide 24/7 IT support for staff, management, and club members when required.
- Maintain high standards of Wi-Fi and digital services, ensuring seamless connectivity for members, guests, and staff.
- Troubleshoot technical issues across all departments, including F&B, marina services, accommodations, and events.
- Implement automation and AI-driven solutions to enhance the digital guest experience.
Technology & Digital Innovation
- Research and implement emerging technologies that enhance club operations and guest/member engagement.
- Oversee digital transformation projects, including mobile apps, online reservations, smart room controls, and AI driven customer service.
- Evaluate and deploy IoT (Internet of Things) solutions for security, maintenance, and energy efficiency.
Vendor & Budget Management
- Negotiate contracts with IT vendors, software providers, and cloud service providers.
- Manage IT budgets, ensuring cost-effective investments in hardware, software, and IT services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with third-party IT service providers and consultants.
Audio-Visual (AV) & Event Technology
- Oversee AV technology for meetings, events, and entertainment spaces, ensuring a premium experience for members and guests.
- Maintain and support digital signage, conference room technology, and multimedia solutions.
- Provide technical support for club-hosted events, ensuring seamless presentations and live streaming capabilities.
Compliance & Disaster Recovery
- Develop and implement IT disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime during system failures or cyber incidents.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international IT regulations applicable to hospitality and membership clubs.
- Regularly test backup systems, ensuring quick recovery of critical data.
Safety, Quality & Environment
- Apply safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of department’s systems, processes and practices considering ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
Job Requirements
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 5-10 years of IT management experience, preferably in luxury hospitality, yacht clubs, private clubs, or high-end resorts.
- Expertise in networking, cloud computing, BMS, CRM, and POS systems.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, data protection laws, and IT compliance.
- Experience managing IT teams, vendors, and large-scale technology projects.
- Certifications such as CISSP, ITIL, PMP, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) are a plus.

- Experience with smart home and IoT technology for guest services and club operations.
