Job description

JOB PURPOSE

The job holder will manage the Fleet Operations & Maintenance for the Mobility team, ensuring the fleet is optimally maintained and complies with corporate policies, branding guidelines, and local regulations/laws. The role supervises a team of Technicians and maintenance employees within the Mobility section and is integral to building the Fleet operations and maintenance facility, focusing on efficiency and consistency. It also involves consulting on fleet maintenance as per manufacturer recommendations to ensure effective department functioning and a positive guest experience through fleet upkeep.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Ensure high accuracy of fleet maintenance data in the operations system; maintain and prepare fleet records accurately and promptly.
  2. Handle vehicle complaints and coordinate with workshop suppliers for repairs.
  3. Monitor and update workshop expenses, maintain vehicle history data, and manage purchase requests for repair parts.
  4. Manage fleet legality by ensuring registration, local compliance, and insurance documents are current.
  5. Review and process vehicle accident and damage reports.
  6. Monitor vehicles on the road, ensure drivers are trained in safety and security measures, and have necessary tools and spares.
  7. Respond professionally and accurately to inquiries regarding fleet availability and maintenance records; track and resolve maintenance issues timely.
  8. Recommend and implement process improvements, new policies, and procedures to enhance departmental efficiency.
  9. Monitor fleet maintenance budgets and variances to prevent overruns.
  10. Collaborate with manufacturers and the Mobility Director to improve fleet maintenance and guest experience.
  11. Lead and supervise the fleet operations and maintenance department.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 6 years GCC experience, preferably in the automotive or transportation industry.
  • Knowledge of coordination with local authorities regarding fleet regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) at an intermediate level.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Experience handling confidential information maturely.
  • Positive, service-oriented attitude with strong follow-through.
  • Proactive in identifying challenges and proposing solutions.
