Overview
The Fire Manager’s primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and efficiency of firefighting and emergency services operations both Offshore and Onshore. The role involves coordinating and managing fire suppression efforts, designing, and implementing fire and rescue prevention strategies, and leading a team of firefighters and emergency regulations.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities
- Develop and implement fire safety protocols and procedures to prevent and mitigate potential fire hazards.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings and facilities to identify and address fire safety concerns.
- Collaborate with local authorities, such as fire departments and emergency services, to coordinate fire response plans and resources.
- Train and educate staff on fire safety protocols, evacuation procedures, and the proper use of firefighting equipment.
- Maintain and inspect fire suppression systems, including fire extinguishers, sprinkler systems, and fire alarms.
- Lead and supervise both Offshore and Onshore firefighting teams during emergency situations, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
- Analyze fire incident reports and implement corrective actions to improve fire safety standards.
- Conduct fire drills and simulations to test organizations, individuals' and teams' readiness and response capabilities.
- Manage resources related to fire safety both offshore and onshore, including equipment testing, procurement, and maintenance.
- Keep up to date with industry trends, best practices, and fire safety and emergency regulations.
- Ensure effective fire safety procedure and response both Offshore and Onshore within an organization in building positive relationships and fostering a culture of fire safety awareness in the organization by promoting clear communication, training, and education, collaborating and teamwork, regular inspection, and maintenance, as well as continuing improvement to help a safety working environment for everyone.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in sciences / Fire Protection Engineering /Fire Protection Management or equivalent.
