Responsible for managing analytical laboratory activities, ensuring accurate chemical and physical testing of products and ingredients, supporting product development and regulatory compliance, and leading analytical functions to maintain product quality, safety, and consistency.
Responsibilities
Analytical Management
- Plan, supervise, and review chemical and physical testing activities
- Ensure accuracy, reliability, and validation of analytical methods
- Manage laboratory schedules, priorities, and resource allocation
Chemical Analysis Oversight
- Oversee nutritional composition analysis and ingredient verification
- Ensure contaminant testing and flavor compound evaluation.
- Supervise shelf-life and stability studies
Physical Testing Supervision
- Monitor texture, color, moisture, density, and particle size testing.
- Ensure equipment calibration and proper use of instruments
Traceability & Quality Support
- Ensure batch-to-batch consistency monitoring.
- Maintain traceability of samples and analytical records.
- Lead root cause investigations for product quality issues
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure testing aligns with regulatory requirements.
- Approve Certificates of Analysis (COA).
- Support labeling compliance and audit readines.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain laboratory records and data integrity.
- Prepare analytical performance reports and trend analysis.
- Present findings to management and stakeholders.
Laboratory Operations & Safety
- Ensure equipment maintenance and calibration.
- Enforce laboratory safety and PPE compliance.
- Manage lab resources and inventory.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Evaluate and implement new analytical technologies.
Leadership & Development
- Supervise and develop laboratory staff.
- Conduct performance reviews and coaching.
- Ensure technical training and competency growth.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in food science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related field
- Strong leadership skills
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in analytical testing, laboratory management, or quality assurance within dairy, beverage, or FMCG industry.
- Practical experience with laboratory instruments and analytical testing methods (HPLC, GC-MS, ICP-MS, spectrophotometry).
- Experience in supervising laboratory operations and managing analytical teams
