Job Purpose
To sustain a smooth production process by ensuring efficient operation and availability of machinery and equipment. Responsible for maintaining and resolving issues related to machines used in the manufacturing of EV components, thereby ensuring the longevity and reliability of equipment.
Key Functional Responsibilities
• Provide emergency and scheduled repairs of production equipment.
• Perform predictive maintenance to identify and prevent equipment failures.
• Apply skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems, and welding for repairs.
• Diagnose issues, troubleshoot, repair or replace parts, test and adjust equipment.
• Use hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment as needed.
• Follow maintenance schedules and standards diligently.
• Maintain, repair, and ensure availability of spare parts.
• Identify potential issues during preventive maintenance even if not listed on task sheets.
• Repair systems to meet health, safety, and quality standards.
• Conduct safety checks and implement safety measures as per specifications.
• Adhere to safety regulations and maintain clean work environments.
• Report non-compliance issues to the team or group leader.
• Ensure maintenance policies, procedures, and controls are well defined and implemented.
• Prepare and maintain maintenance reports, KPIs, and records in a timely manner.
Functional Responsibilities
• Perform repairs and corrective actions during breakdowns; log updates in ERP, MES, or IoT systems.
• Implement improvement measures to enhance MTTR, MTBF, and reduce operational bottlenecks.
• Handle installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance in the Body Shop.
• Use root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques for equipment failures.
• Apply corrective and permanent actions for every breakdown to prevent recurrence.
• Execute contingency tasks promptly to minimize production losses.
• Ensure safety and maintain 5S practices at the workplace.
• Plan, implement, and execute preventive maintenance (PM) activities as scheduled.
• Replace, repair, and forecast spare parts needed near the production line.
• Meet and comply with company standards and operational protocols.
