Job description

Maintenance Operations Control Supervisor

Salary: Competitive

JOB PURPOSE

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor (PC) under the Government-to-Government arrangements to provide equipment, support, and training to Saudi Arabia. We maintain Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF personnel in a safe training environment to operate their aircraft, equipment, and weapons.

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia supports the Saudi Arabian National Agenda, including Saudisation and the development of Saudi National capabilities through local partnerships, reinforcing industrialisation and partnerships.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
  1. Manage, communicate, and control Maintenance Squadron tasks to support OAT Flight Operations and ensure efficient completion of scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance tasks.
  2. Coordinate with departments, Production Superintendents, and Supervisors to prioritize aircraft work effectively.
  3. Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the RSAF Maintenance Management System and work efficiently under pressure with minimal supervision.
  4. Communicate clearly using Technical English, both verbally and in writing.
  5. Prioritize manpower and assets to expedite aircraft and equipment maintenance to achieve MC status.
  6. Understand radio procedures, communication discipline, and the cannibalisation process. Comprehend the interactions between MOC, MSL, IM, Avionics, TAGF, and Supply Squadron, and reporting concepts as per RSAFI standards.
  7. Understand SOMO - TAGF maintenance concepts, KFAA Checklists, MOI’s, incident reporting, maintenance impound procedures, and safety and reporting standards.
  8. Be knowledgeable of the Aircraft Master Parking Plan, security, safety, fire, supply, and ARAMCO interactions.
  9. Gain proficiency with the RSAF aircraft data management system – MIRO Gold.
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
  1. Graduate of a recognized military or civilian aircraft technical training institute.
  2. NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC or equivalent technical qualification, or a suitable apprenticeship.
Essential
  1. Extensive practical maintenance experience on operational flying aircraft or equivalent.
  2. Type-specific training ('Q' Course) and equipment training if needed.
  3. Hold 2nd signature authority.
  4. Leadership skills and supervisory experience.
Desirable
  1. Knowledge of EASA Part 145 & 147.
  2. Understanding of company processes and broader industry knowledge.
  3. Experience with PC9 or PC21 aircraft systems and maintenance.
