Overview

Our client, is one of the leading utility and power generation companies in the world. Within one of their subsidiaries, we are recruiting for the leader in providing consultancy and advisory services connected with the development of asset maintenance strategies for the power generation and utilities sector. At the core of the energy transition, our client is expanding its presence in Saudi Arabia.

They are seeking aMaintenance Expert in Power Plant Generators to enhance generator performance, reliability, and maintenance strategies within large power plants across Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will develop preventative maintenance strategies and support root cause analysis specifically on electricity generators in gas, steam and other types of thermal power plants. If you have previous experience as an expert on the generator equipment for power plants + 400MW, have previously worked for a generator OEM or worked across multiple generator brands, this is an exciting role!

You will, work close with plant leaders to understand their needs and then work with work with leading experts in asset maintenance to build fitting solutions.

Responsibilities
  • As the Maintenance Expert in Power Plant Generators, you will:
  • Optimise Performance & Efficiency – Develop strategies to enhance generator reliability and efficiency, monitor key performance indicators, and recommend improvements.
  • Enhance Condition Monitoring & Maintenance – Implement proactive maintenance strategies to extend asset life and prevent failures.
  • Conduct Technical Studies & RCA – Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for generator failures and recommend performance enhancements.
  • Support Clients – Provide technical guidance during asset inspections, major incidents, and repairs.
  • Collaborate with Experts – Work with a global network of specialists to challenge OEM recommendations and develop cost-effective solutions.
  • Field Expertise – Assist with on-site inspections and assessments, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Electrical, Mechanical or Power Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience generator operation, maintenance, and reliability.
  • Experience working in major power plants + 400 MW .
  • Mandatory experience on generator equipment in the US/Europe.
  • Strong technical knowledge of generator systems and equipment condition monitoring.
  • Proven track record in RCA and maintenance strategy development.
  • Fluent English communication skills.
