Job summary

A leading construction and engineering firm in Jeddah is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, and a strong electrical background with at least 3 years of experience in maintenance. Responsibilities include leading the maintenance team, ensuring compliance with HSE standards, and executing preventative maintenance plans. Excellent English proficiency is required, and familiarity with Microsoft Excel is a plus.

Job description

Overview

Ensure compliance and implementation of relevant HSE procedures and inspections in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance workforce to safely execute all types of maintenance activities: Planned, Unplanned and Condition monitoring efficiently and effectively.
• Assist maintenance manager in developing maintenance systems and procedures.
• Adhere to HSE rules and model exemplary behaviour for the team.
• Ensure 5S directions are implemented and maintenance activities are carried out in a neat way to maintain a tidy and clean workplace.
• Execute preventative maintenance plans, maintenance service requests, and HSE inspections; maintain accurate records of all equipment, facilities and utilities.
• Ensure permit to work system is followed effectively as per HSE standards with zero tolerance.
• Engage in site visits as necessary to ensure maintenance regimes are carried out efficiently and effectively.
• Generate weekly and monthly reports highlighting progress on key performance indicators.
• Create / review maintenance checklists for every activity done by the maintenance team in reference to OEM manuals, including defining inspection points, standard spare parts requirements, tools & equipment and internal & external permits.
• Build a high degree of competencies within the team, highlighting internal and/or external training needs.
• Liaise with maintenance planner and spare parts controller to ensure parts usage is reported and plans are executed properly.
• Ensure the team takes care of equipment and tools used.
• Report any HSE drawbacks, incidents, and opportunities for improvement.
• Set a personal example in punctuality, commitment, respect for work hours and dedication.
• Carry over additional duties as assigned by line manager(s).
