Overview

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Cost Engineer to join our Maintenance Solutions Department (MSD) within the Global Manufacturing Excellence Organization.

MSD provides maintenance technical consultations to foster a best-in-class maintenance organization through assessments, turnaround assurances, and deploying advanced technologies and practices across our global manufacturing portfolio.

Your primary role will involve establishing maintenance budgeting processes, cost monitoring guidelines, and analyzing maintenance spend to optimize costs while ensuring asset reliability and performance in our oil & gas operations.

Key Responsibilities

As the successful candidate, you will:

  • Lead the development and implementation of maintenance budgeting processes.
  • Develop cost monitoring guidelines and procedures.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs for maintenance cost tracking.
  • Analyze maintenance spending patterns and cost drivers.
  • Implement cost optimization strategies.
  • Provide strategic recommendations for cost optimization.
  • Conduct spend analysis across different cost streams such as labor, materials, services, and equipment.
  • Develop methodologies to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Analyze root causes of maintenance costs.
  • Create roadmaps for implementing cost initiatives.
  • Identify digital tools and analytics to support assessments.
Minimum Requirements

Candidates should possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Over 10 years of maintenance cost management experience in the oil & gas sector.
  • Experience in developing maintenance budgets.
  • Strong background in spend analysis.
  • Proven ability to implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Experience with maintenance management systems and analysis tools.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools like Alteryx and Power BI.
  • Knowledge of industry standards for maintenance costs.
  • Proficiency with CMMS and analytics platforms.
  • Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
