Job description

Job Introduction:

A machine operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining packaging or processing machinery to ensure smooth and efficient production. And will play a key role in meeting daily production targets while maintaining product quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and monitor automated and manual production equipment (e.g., grinders, mixers, fillers, sealers, slicers, and packaging machines).
• Ensure consistent product quality and output in line with production targets.
• Conduct routine checks and adjustments to equipment to maintain efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Load raw materials and packaging components onto machines as required.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubrication, and replacing worn parts.
• Adhere to all food safety and hygiene protocols, including GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), HACCP, and company SOPs.
• Accurately complete production and quality control documentation.
• Identify and report any machine malfunctions or quality issues to the supervisor.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications & Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience operating machinery in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment, preferably in the protein or meat sector.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of production machinery.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and practices (e.g., HACCP, GMP).
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and work instructions.
• Comfortable working in cold environments and standing for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and overtime as needed.
