Job Summary

Logistics Supervisor is responsible for management of operations relating to inbound & outbound deliveries of materials to their respective warehouse. Ensures high standard housekeeping & safety procedures He/ She is also responsible for managing external services for an effective and low cost logistics operations

Job Responsibilities

Warehouse Management

Oversee the space management of warehouses. Ensure the standard operating procedures are followed for storage and quality management

Optimize the warehouse utilization and oversee the work of storekeeper

Manage warehousing processes and identify opportunities for generating savings in material handling costs

Make regular visits to all the regional branches and warehouses for inspection of storage, cleanliness and stock quantity and quality checks

Plan and oversee the maintenance of warehouses and equipment to meet health & safety requirements post approvals.

Logistics and Transportation

Achieve the target of customer DOTIF on daily basis.

Assist the team for the daily customer delivery route planning.

Maintain 100% record of all stock transactions for any queries.

Ensures the safety and hygiene of the branch's fleet and initiate and follow requests for maintenance.

Ensure timely and accurate data entry on SAP ERP for making purchase requests, transportation requests, stock transfer requests, return goods order, sales order data entry

Oversee the work of storekeepers for effective loading, unloading and timely handling of sales orders

Oversee the process of material transportation and handle escalations

Ensure timely return of transportation containers.

Coordinate with Procurement & Transport companies to handle port arrivals on time.

Team Management

Manage all warehouse back office staff.

Set clear directions for the team, review their work and handle escalations

Responsible for initiating the resources hiring, learning, career development, attendance & leave management, performance management, and all HR related concerns of direct reporting employees

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management
  • 4-5 years of experience in Logistics / Warehouse Management including 2 years of experience in a supervisory role at an FMCG company
  • Proficiency in written and verbal Arabic and English language
