Job description

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist with a strong background in steel fabrication, heavy engineering components, or pressure vessels and heat exchangers. The ideal candidate will manage the complete logistics cycleplanning, coordination, documentation, and executionto ensure timely and cost-effective movement of materials and finished products.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and coordinate logistics operations for domestic and international shipments of heavy fabricated equipment.

Supervise the packaging, loading, and transportation of pressure vessels, structural steel, and related heavy equipment.

Ensure compliance with international and local transport regulations, safety norms, and documentation standards.

Liaise with transporters, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs agents for smooth execution of deliveries.

Monitor inventory levels, incoming/outgoing shipments, and warehouse logistics to ensure efficient material flow.

Handle logistics cost budgeting, vendor negotiations, and invoice processing.

Prepare and verify logistics-related documentation: Packing List, Delivery Notes, Commercial Invoices, B/L, etc.

Coordinate with production, QA/QC, and project teams to align dispatch schedules with project timelines.

Troubleshoot issues related to delivery delays, transportation damage, or customs clearance.

Maintain accurate records of logistics activities for audits and performance reporting.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

10+ years of experience in logistics operations in heavy fabrication, steel manufacturing, or industrial equipment sector.

Strong knowledge of logistics documentation, customs clearance, Incoterms, and export-import regulations.

Proficient in logistics software/tools and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments in parallel.

Knowledge of HSE practices during transportation of heavy equipment is a plus.
