Senior Logistics Manager

The Logistics Manager, specifically an EMV (Equipment, Machinery, and Vehicle) Manager, is responsible for the overall utilization and maintenance of the company's Vehicles, Equipment, and Machines. This includes scheduling and managing personnel for the maintenance, repair, and installation of machinery, equipment, and vehicles across various construction projects.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure proper implementation of all company procedures within the logistics department.
  2. Assist Project Managers in developing project-specific EMV procedures as required.
  3. Specify the EMV needs for projects based on their individual conditions.
  4. Supervise the setup of EMV workshops on-site to facilitate smooth project operations.
  5. Monitor the operation of all company equipment and miscellaneous service equipment, ensuring optimal operational status and deployment.
  6. Take responsibility for project mobilization.
  7. Review project contracts and plant lists, and organize logistics for transferring equipment to project sites.
  8. Conduct analysis to identify trends and recommend corrective actions for variances and irregularities.
  9. Manage maintenance and workshop activities, fulfilling repair requests in coordination with the resource optimization manager.
  10. Ensure all maintenance tasks are performed safely and timely.
  11. Assign work for preventive maintenance, and prepare schedules and plans accordingly.
  12. Ensure equipment is maintained, repaired, and returned to operational status, following safety procedures.
  13. Assess repairs thoroughly to order necessary replacement parts and spares in a timely manner.
  14. Maintain a flexible maintenance management system in coordination with the IT department.
  15. Provide periodic reports on operational costs and equipment condition.
  16. Analyze technical studies to decide on repairing or purchasing equipment.
  17. Assist procurement in specifying equipment, processing purchase requests, and evaluating supplier proposals.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 15 years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 7 years in the same position with Saudi Aramco Pipeline projects.
  2. Strong leadership, negotiation, analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  3. Exceptional communication skills.
  4. Experience with EMV in the GCC region, particularly in Saudi Arabia.
