We have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and enthusiastic Logistics Manager will leading and driving Logistics Operations (transportation, warehouse and network optimization) & continuous improvement projects aimed at improving service, reducing logistics costs and reducing inventory in the region.
He / she is acting as the single point of contact for all Logistics related topics for the region, internally and externally, and will be communicating and coordinating between various functions within KONE.
- The responsibilities of a Logistics Business Support Manager are to lead, direct, and control logistics operations, policies, procedures, and activities to maximize the efficiency, reliability, timeliness, and cost effectiveness of logistics operations
- Focal point of contact for KONE and the Logistics Service providers for operations of materials volume planning and control, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, customs clearance, regulatory authorities’ approvals, transport and distribution.
- Oversee the overall supply unit logistics budget; Analysis of logistics spend and tie to the financial ledger, monitor the cost effectiveness of activities to optimise resources reduce cost.
- Identification, driving and execution of continuous improvements and variable cost productivity (VCP) projects & initiatives.
- Establish KPI’s & SLA’s in areas such as transit and delivery times; inventory levels; transportation costs, warehousing costs; and service standards and monitor the operational performance of external and internal parties against these KPI’s.
- Research, negotiate, maintain, monitor, and regularly evaluate (in cooperation with Sourcing) relationships and contracts with LSP’s so that the organization has a reliable supply of logistics services that meet its standards of quality, timeliness and cost.
- Maintain & timely reports data analytics & dashboards for metric visibility & communication.
- Responsible for conducting timely cycle counts and physical inventory in time assuring KPI’s are met, driving inventory integrity.
- Develop, coach and lead Logistics team, setting measurable goals and objectives to evaluate success to ensure that the organisation's logistics strategy is implemented effectively, consistently, and according to established guidelines and budgets.
- Support warehousing optimization / Lean projects.
- Minimum 5-7 Years of experience in leadership position in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
- Extensive experience in logistics operations, warehouse, inventory management, transportation, customs clearance and supply chain management in Saudi Arabia.
- Wide IT, data analytics, digital reporting knowledge and capabilities.
- Excellent project management and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in both English and Arabic.
- Experience working in a compliant supply chain.
- Ability to energize, develop and build rapport at all levels within the organization, ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, global team environment.
