In this role, you will coordinate logistics activities related to marine operations, material deliveries, daily coordination, and emergency preparedness for our On-island project. You will ensure the safe, efficient, and timely deployment of assets to support onshore logistics and on-island construction, including delivery of critical substation components, cable systems, and large equipment.

What will you do?

As a Marine Logistics Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Plan and coordinate material supply logistics from the supplier point of dispatch to project sites and marine/offshore delivery points.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams for vessel chartering, port handling, storage, and offloading of large or sensitive equipment.
  • Liaise with suppliers, engineering, procurement, and site teams to ensure logistical readiness aligns with project milestones.
  • Monitor HSE compliance, technical integrity, and availability of marine logistics assets.
  • Support emergency preparedness related to marine and site logistics.
  • Oversee inventory control and ensure order accuracy.
  • Develop strategies to improve supply chain efficiency and meet customer needs.
  • Negotiate contracts with carriers and suppliers.
  • Monitor logistics KPIs, costs, and supplier performance.
  • Handle external factors affecting deliveries or operations, such as weather or site access limitations.
  • Ensure compliance with Linxon's agreements, commercial terms, and supplier capabilities.
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders including project managers, suppliers, port authorities, and logistics providers.
  • Be available for on-call logistics support or weekend rotations if applicable.
  • Perform site visits to ports, project locations, and vessel operations as needed.
  • Travel to project sites and ports / Marine basis as required.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Have a commercial mindset, understanding operational agreements.
  • Address capacity challenges on offshore/on-island installations with effective logistic solutions.

Education Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, Maritime Operations, or related field.

Other Experience Required:

  • Experience in site or marine logistics, preferably within EPC, renewables, or power infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of marine vessel operations, port handling, and offshore/on-island delivery logistics.
  • Familiarity with construction logistics, project planning tools, and supplier coordination.
  • Strong communication skills for interfacing with clients, port authorities, and contractors.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Preferred experience with Lewis Island.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
  • Understanding of UK health, safety, and environmental standards in logistics operations.
