Job Description:

The opportunity

To build and grow the local product management activities. Acts as a bridge from local to global product management. Provides local market needs to global teams, conducts customer presentations on our factory and new product developments. Leads product qualifications in communication with the global qualification manager. Collects feedback on product quality in the market and initiates improvements. Leads cost-out activities (DtV) with the global DtV organization and local SCM. Manages factory loading data for Dammam and feeds this to feeder factories and suppliers. Participates in market activities and tendering as a technical expert.

How you'll make an impact

1. You will be Head of Product Management (HPM), part of the global GIS product management team, managing a team of technical experts including Technical Manager, Product Specialist, Product Cost Specialist, and Local Implementation Manager.
2. You will receive updates on new developments and trigger R&D activities based on Saudi market needs, representing Dammam factory in R&D meetings.
3. HPM monitors CCRPs on GIS products, triggers production or R&D activities as needed, and oversees implementation of Product Change Notifications.
4. You will direct the Product Specialist on the product lifecycle of HV Switchgear, support local DtV activities, consolidate Type Test Reports, develop technical customer documentation, and coordinate type test programs.
5. You will direct the Product Cost Specialist in cost tracking, analyze costs at the material, process, and overhead levels, and support cost-optimization initiatives.
6. HPM leads local DtV activities, liaises with global DtV, and participates in pre-qualification and sales planning meetings.
7. You will provide technical advice during customer discussions and routine tests, and assist SCM in pre-qualifying new local suppliers.
8. You will conduct technical presentations and training for internal and external audiences, explore market opportunities, and expand GIS business.

Your background

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in electrical engineering; MBA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience with a strong technical GIS background.
• Negotiation and task management skills.
• Self-driven and able to work independently.
• Knowledge of HV product portfolio, Microsoft Office, SAP.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
