Job description

Our clients, a busy Middle Eastern family who reside in Jeddah and frequently travel between London, Spain, Switzerland, and Dubai, are seeking a Nanny for their twin boys – aged 3.

The ideal Nanny will have 3-4 years of previous experience with toddlers, and have a good understanding of child development. A degree in childcare or Montessori training is an added bonus.

As this is a fully staffed household, the Nanny's focus will solely be on the boys and their welfare. All general Nanny duties will apply, along with the below :

  • Accompanying the boys to and from nursery - driver will be provided
  • Language development and general development will be required, reading and talking to the children, working on their speech and vocabulary
  • Promoting life skills, teaching good manners and independence
  • Planning activities that are fun, educational and age appropriate
  • Try to reduce screen time for the boys
  • Setting a routine for the boys
  • Travelling with the family

The role will be a mixture of sole, and on some occasions, shared charge with other members of staff. You should be willing to work as a team and be flexible on working hours - early morning starts with time off whilst the boys are at nursery, then afternoon / evening routines to be carried out. When travelling these hours will need to be flexible.

Preferred skills for the role :

  • Good amount of energy – able to keep up with active twins
  • Good attitude with a proactive and upbeat personality
  • Fluent English skills to assist with reading and vocabulary
  • Additional language French, Spanish, Portuguese or Arabic
  • Knowledge of toddlers and what to expect in the early years
  • You must have good communication skills and good time keeping
  • Ability to juggle the needs of the twins and their day-to-day needs
  • Organised and takes pride in their work - the home is very tidy, and the family would expect the Nanny to keep on top of the children’s rooms and areas
  • A childcare qualification is highly desirable or background in early childhood education
