POSITION SUMMARY

As the Line Electrician, your responsibilities include preventative electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all electrical equipment within the factory. You will adhere to plant sanitation practices and stay updated on new technologies relevant to plant operations. Ensuring safety at all times, you will contribute to machine reliability and process improvements across the plant. The role is based in a Green Field Food Factory in Saudi Arabia.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on all electrical equipment safely.
  • Ensure compliance with Safety, Health, Quality, and Environmental standards during all tasks.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysis.
  • Design, program, and troubleshoot plant PLCs, VFDs, input/output devices, and related equipment.
  • Read, update, and create electrical prints and documentation.
  • Utilize test equipment such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and process simulators.
  • Apply knowledge of LV & MV systems, single-phase, and three-phase electrical power.
  • Conduct incident investigations for downtime and quality deviations, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain equipment and resolve technical issues.
  • Manage the instrument calibration program for compliance and quality assurance.
  • Work in rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of complex electrical, automation, and mechanical systems in industrial or military environments OR a technical degree/certification with 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in the Food and Beverages manufacturing industry or similar CPG industry preferred.
  • Proficiency in Electrical Preventive Maintenance activities involving Medium & Low Voltage Switchgears, MCCs, VFDs, motors, sensors, and instruments.
  • Experience with PLC & HMI programming, preferably with Allen Bradley (Control Logix, Compact Logix), Siemens, etc.
  • Experience working with VFDs (Allen Bradley, Danfoss, Siemens) and Servo drives (Allen Bradley, Schneider).
  • Knowledge of Instrument Calibration for various devices like flow meters, transmitters, detectors, and analyzers.
  • Personnel supervision experience of technical teams or contractors.
  • Good understanding of electrical distribution systems (LV & MV).
  • Familiarity with local electrical codes and standards.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation, calibration processes, SAP, and Asset Maintenance Management (AMM).
  • Proficiency in English.
