Job description

To assist Maarif Education with achieving its commitment to safeguarding the welfare and protection of all children and young people, the purpose of this role is to ensure the safety of all school swimming pool users by managing access to the swimming pool complex and actively supervising all swimmers using the pool for both lessons and for other permitted activities, such as school swimming carnivals. The purpose of this role is to also respond to any safety or medical incidents that may occur within the swimming pool complex, including the ability to provide advanced first aid and CPR as required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma or equivalent, in addition to a Pool Lifeguard qualification from the Saudi Life Saving Federation, and advanced First Aid qualification.
• Minimum1-3 years

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Monitoring entry to and exit from the swimming pool complex to ensure it is orderly and safe
• Making adjustments to areas of the pool deck as needed in response to changing conditions such as accidents or construction work
• Actively supervising users of the pool during normal school working hours
• Following established procedures for pool safety and lifeguarding
• Observing and reporting unsafe pool usage situations to the Health and Safety Officer
• Responding to pool related accidents and applying first aid as required
