All of this will be set amid green landscaping, golden beaches, and a port.

Job Description

• Possesses Lifeguard certification and is authorized to conduct AR and CPR.
• Ensures the setup of safety equipment at the beach/pool, including life-saving floatation devices along the shoreline/around the pool, correct flag placement during business hours, rescue surfboard/boat readiness, first aid kit, posting of business hours, pool depth, water & air temperatures, wind force & speed.
• Keeps designated swimming areas free of engine-driven boats, windsurfers, or sea bikes (pedalos).
• Ensures swimmers/snorkelers are out of boat tracks or hazardous areas.
• Supervises the use of windsurf and sea bikes, including guest log-in and log-out, monitoring water activities.
• Responds to emergencies within the hotel and resort swimming areas, ensuring rescue boat availability.
• Ensures all water sports and pool activities comply with security and safety regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Lifeguard Qualifications / Skills:

• Knowledge and ability to evaluate water conditions at aquatics facilities, beaches, or natural water bodies for hazards.
• Ability to adjust safety programs as needed for visitor and staff safety.
• Swimming proficiency in all water conditions.
• Knowledge of on-site safety protocols, procedures, and emergency medical services.

Education, Experience, and Licensing:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of related work experience.
• Certified Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certificate or equivalent.
• Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer or equivalent.
• Red Cross Standard First Aid or equivalent.
