Legal Counsel - Saudi Arabia

We are seeking a qualified legal professional to lead legal operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, focusing on governance, labor law, compliance, and core commercial matters. Based in Riyadh, this role is vital for ensuring our business adheres to the evolving legal and regulatory landscape of KSA. The ideal candidate will possess a strong legal background, a proactive, business-oriented approach, and a desire to contribute to a dynamic tech company's success.

Main Responsibilities

1. Provide legal guidance on Saudi corporate governance, company law, and regulatory obligations.
2. Ensure compliance with Saudi labor laws, supporting the People Team with employment documentation and dispute resolution.
3. Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, service agreements, and platform terms.
4. Advise on operational legal risks across core commerce functions, supporting local and regional teams.
5. Lead internal reviews and implement compliance best practices aligned with Saudi law.
6. Collaborate with government entities (e.g., MHRSD, MOC, ZATCA) to support business continuity and regulatory compliance.
7. Coordinate with external counsel and Trendyol's HQ legal teams for disputes, inquiries, or escalations.
8. Monitor legal developments in e-commerce, digital services, and platform regulation within the Kingdom.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification legal experience in KSA.
• Deep knowledge of Saudi labor law, corporate governance, and commercial compliance.
• Experience advising or working within e-commerce or tech-driven sectors is a strong advantage.
• Familiarity with local governmental processes and regulatory bodies.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills in both English and Arabic.
