Role Summary

The Bakery Associate Learning & Development role is responsible for supporting business growth by developing the skills of existing employees. The role plays a key part in training bakery staff to enhance their technical skills, knowledge, and customer service abilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong baking background, a passion for teaching, and will support the Learning and Development Manager in executing relevant initiatives according to the required standards.

Role Profile

1. Develop and deliver hands-on training programs for bakery staff, focusing on baking techniques, product consistency, and operational efficiency.
2. Conduct workshops and demonstrations on baking skills, equipment handling, and food safety compliance.
3. Collaborate with the L&D team to create training materials, manuals, and e-learning modules.
4. Ensure adherence to company recipes, portioning guidelines, and quality control measures.
5. Conduct assessments and provide constructive feedback to bakery associates.
6. Follow up on the feedback of training sessions.
7. Evaluate instructor performance and the effectiveness of training programs.
8. Communicate with management and conduct surveys to identify training needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field.
• 1-3 years of proven experience in bakery operations and corporate training or L&D programs.
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and instructional skills.
• Experience in coaching, mentoring, or training teams.
• Knowledge of digital learning tools and training software.
