Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Lead Utility EngineerinRiyadh, KSA

The focus of this role is to be involved technically with the dayto day works of various Utilities design works. You will be considered as a Centre of Excellence and be able to help your peer group with your technical knowledge as well as generating cutting edge modern day solutions for various clients.

We envisage success in this role to include;

  • Monitoring the technical quality of wet utilities projects, such as water supply, treatment and storage, water resource management, flood management etc, to ensure that the projects delivered to Clients are of the highest technical quality and engineering practice standard.
  • Developing and implementing measures to mitigate project-related financial and business risks, in partnership with Project Managers/Project Directors.
  • Building technical capability of others and actively transfer technical expertise within the organization.
  • Preparing proposals and conducting presentations to Clients where required.
  • Leading a team of professional employees, driving increased organizational performance and achievement of team goals.
  • Analysing existing work processes, procedures and systems, identifying opportunities for increased efficiencies cost-effectiveness and service improvements.
  • Anticipating and objectively and systematically analysing and resolving complex problems
  • Preparing, planning and effectively controlling financial budgets and team resources in order to deliver required commercial outcomes.
Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include at-least 15 years’ experience in a consultancy environment, of which at least 4 years were spent working on projects within the GCC, partnered with a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

The successful candidate will have spent the majority of their career within the consultancy sector where major scale infrastructure projects were handled primarily in the early phases. This role would not involve construction elements, therefore if your experience is in line with construction management, the role will not match your strengths.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to make effective presentations on general topics.
  • Partner with clients to exceed their expectations and build client relationships.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and discipline-specific software.
  • Registration at MICE or IEng MICE level, or the equivalent thereof, is desirable.
  • Full (Corporate) Membership of an Internationally recognized professional Institution i.e., C. Eng. M.I.C.E. or P.E.) PMP Certification would be advantageous.
