Role Overview
The role of Mechanical Engineer (Rotating) within ENOWA hydrogen will span plant operations and design. The key objective is to ensure the production availability and quality of mechanical equipment used within ENOWA Hydrogen systems, particularly at the HIDC (Hydrogen Innovation Development Centre), through onsite maintenance and condition monitoring.
Additionally, the role involves engineering design during capital and research projects, and the development of ENOWA mechanical standards. The Mechanical Engineer (Rotating) will work with equipment primarily used in the oil and gas industry, such as reciprocating compressors and pumps. The role may expand to include managing a team of mechanical technicians across the hydrogen portfolio.
Requirements Summary
- Provide high-quality rotating equipment support to Operations, including troubleshooting and documentation.
- Support maintenance procedures aligned with manufacturer recommendations.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections.
- Manage maintenance tools, spares, and equipment.
- Handle emergencies, unplanned problems, and repairs.
- Optimize maintenance plans continuously.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.

Experience & Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Over 3 years of experience in rotating equipment, particularly in troubleshooting in power, oil & gas, or hydrogen industries.
- Practical experience with industrial systems maintenance or fabrication.
- Ability to read system schematics like P&IDs and drawings.
- Basic knowledge of lubrication, tribology, vibration, and control systems (DCS, ESD, anti-surging).
- Experience with Ex equipment and standards.
- Strong under pressure with excellent technical skills in pumps, compressors, turbines, and pipelines.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, meet deadlines, and adapt.
- Teamwork skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering or similar field.
