Responsible for handling and ensuring compliance with content rights and licensing agreements for an organization.
Job Responsibilities
Rights Acquisition and Licensing
- Research, identify, and negotiate content rights and licensing agreements for various media content, including films, TV shows, music, images, artwork, literature, and digital media.
- Collaborate with content creators, distributors, and external partners to secure necessary rights for the organization.
Contract Management
- Review, analyze, and negotiate content rights contracts and licensing agreements, ensuring compliance with legal, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with legal teams to address contractual issues, negotiate terms, and resolve disputes related to content rights.
Rights Tracking and Documentation
- Develop and maintain a rights management system to track and document content rights, licensing agreements, and usage permissions.
- Maintain accurate records of rights, contract details, expiration dates, and renewal requirements, ensuring accessibility for internal stakeholders.
Rights Clearance and Permissions
- Collaborate with content creators, production teams, and legal departments to clear rights and obtain necessary permissions for copyrighted materials, trademarks, and other intellectual property.
- Ensure compliance with copyright laws, fair use guidelines, and licensing terms.
Policies, Processes, and Procedures
- Follow all relevant policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices, considering leading practices, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement.
- Promote adherence to relevant policies and procedures among team members.
Minimum Requirements
- 4-6 years of experience in marketing, market research, digital marketing, advertising, public relations, or related fields within the technology or telecommunication industry.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration (Marketing) or Law.
- Skills include advanced proficiency in product development, data analysis, business acumen, relevant software/tools, report writing, customer relationship management, communication, and negotiation.
