Job description

As a Lead Landscape Architect, you will lead the design and implementation of landscape architecture projects, providing expertise in sustainable and functional landscape design for both private and public sectors. This role involves working collaboratively with clients, project teams, and other disciplines to deliver creative, context-sensitive, and environmentally responsible landscape solutions.

  • Lead the design and conceptualization of landscape architecture projects, ensuring innovative, functional, and

  • sustainable design solutions.

  • Ensure that established general landscape requirements are achieved by contractor through proper and effective

  • supervision.

  • Participate in conducting preliminary studies of the site (including contours, soil, ecology, buildings, roads, etc.

  • Participate in carrying out environmental impact assessments as needed.

  • Work closely with architects, engineers, urban planners, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of

  • landscape designs with broader project goals.

  • Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery, coordinating with internal

  • teams and external consultants as necessary.

  • Act as the primary contact for clients, providing design updates, managing expectations, and addressing client

  • feedback throughout the design process.

  • Ensure that all designs comply with relevant local regulations, zoning laws, and environmental standards.

  • Provide support during construction to ensure the landscape design is executed according to specifications and

  • address any on-site design challenges.

  • Lead or support public consultations or community engagement efforts when necessary, ensuring community input

  • is incorporated into designs.

  • Review and ensure accurate preparation and presentation by contractors or subcontractors of detailed plans and

  • working drawings, including applications, constructions details and specifications for the project using project’s

  • approved design software.

  • Monitor and check work on-site ensuring compliance to design and specifications.

  • Liaise with other disciplines and professionals on the project.

  • Provide inputs to Monthly and Weekly Progress reports on landscape activities and works.

  • Review all technical submittals from the Contractor including the following: RFI’s, Material submittals, Supplier and

  • Vendor List, Shop Drawings.

  • Participate in site inspections as requested by the Contractor

  • Develops designs, working drawings, specifications and related aspects for required projects under the supervision

  • of the senior concept designer.

  • Assists on the design development of irrigation and plant material specifications.

  • Inspect projects which are in progress to determine specification compliance, especially in the area of plant

  • materials specification and gives recommendations to existing specifications and plans, if required.

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in landscape architecture, Environmental Design, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in landscape architecture, with at least 4-5 years in a senior or leadership role.

  • Proficiency in landscape design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, SketchUp, GIS, Adobe Suite) and MicrosoftOffice Suite.
