Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking a Lead Instrument Engineer to support process control systems in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have over 14 years of experience in Instrument Engineering, specifically in Oil and Gas projects, and a Bachelor's degree in Instrument Engineering. Responsibilities include managing engineering personnel and ensuring compliance with new process philosophies.

Qualifications

  • At least 14 years of experience in Instrument Engineering for major Oil and Gas/Petrochemical Onshore projects.
  • PMC experience in a similar role is preferable.
  • Knowledge of Saudi Aramco Desktop Standards is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for process control systems.
  • Ensure alignment with new philosophies for Process Interface Buildings.
  • Manage engineer/Senior Engineer grade Instrument personnel.

Job description

Job Title: Lead Instrument Engineer (Onshore/Offshore)

Location: Saudi Arabia

The Lead Instrument Engineer may operate within the Core Engineering Team or PMT project team environment. He may have engineer/Senior Engineer grade Instrument personnel under his responsibility and will be tasked with their control and management and the delegation of activities to such support personnel.

Responsibilities include providing support and ensuring that process control systems align with new philosophies, such as integrating new Process Interface Buildings with existing Master Control Room and Central Control Room. The role requires strong experience in Process Control systems, ESD and Isolation valves, Control valves, and Safety requirements in pressure storage tanks and vessels.

Knowledge / Experience (Skills)
  • At least 14 years of experience; with a minimum of 10 years in Instrument Engineering for major Oil and Gas/Petrochemical Onshore projects.
  • PMC experience in a similar role for several years is preferable.
  • Knowledge of Saudi Aramco Desktop Standards and procedures/practices is beneficial.
  • Previous exposure to construction and commissioning phases is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in MS Office packages, especially Word and Excel.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Instrument Engineering.
