Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Lead Instrument Engineer located in Al Khafji, Saudi Arabia. This position requires at least 14 years of engineering experience, including work in major Oil and Gas projects. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's Degree in Instrument Engineering and has knowledge of Saudi Aramco standards. Responsibilities include overseeing engineering personnel and ensuring compliance with process control systems.

Qualifications

  • 14 years of experience in Instrument Engineering for Oil and Gas projects.
  • PMC experience in a similar role is preferable.
  • Knowledge of Saudi Aramco standards is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee engineer/Senior Engineer grade personnel.
  • Ensure process control systems align with new philosophies.
  • Provide support and management of control and management tasks.

Job description

The Lead Instrument Engineer may operate within the Core Engineering Team or PMT project team environment. He may have engineer/Senior Engineer grade Instrument personnel under his responsibility and will be tasked with their control and management and the delegation of activities to such support personnel.

Provide support and confirm that process control systems are in line with new philosophy e.g. new Process Interface Building to be aligned with existing Master Control Room and Central Control Room. Strong experience in Process Control systems, ESD and Isolation valves, Control valves, Safety requirements in Pressure storage tanks and vessels.

Knowledge / Experience (Skills):

• At least Fourteen (14) years of experience; Ten (10) years of them within the field of Instrument Engineering for major Oil and Gas/Petrochemical Onshore projects.
• PMC experience at similar role for at least several years is preferable.
• Knowledge of Saudi Aramco Desktop Standard and procedures/practices is beneficial.
• Previous exposure to construction and commissioning phases is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Computer literate with all MS Packages, particularly Word and Excel proficient.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Instrument Engineering.
