Job description

Position: Product Quality Specialist

We are seeking a Product Quality Specialist to join the Downstream Process Engineering Division (DPED) under the Process & Control System Department at Aramco.

The DPED is responsible for developing, managing, and ensuring compliance with product specifications for fuels, chemicals, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) across the company's operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing, reviewing, and managing product specifications for fuels, chemicals, and LPG.
  • Evaluating, approving, and monitoring the use of additives to enhance product performance and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Ensuring compliance with ASTM, ISO, and other global fuel and chemical quality standards.
  • Analyzing fuel quality data, ensuring adherence to specifications, and identifying risks or improvements.
  • Investigating fuel quality deviations, product failures, and customer complaints, with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Working with laboratory teams to oversee testing, validate methods, and improve quality control processes.
  • Assessing and recommending testing methodology improvements.
  • Providing guidance on refining, blending, and petrochemical processes.
  • Supporting troubleshooting at production plants, refineries, and storage facilities.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to align quality standards with operational and environmental objectives.
  • Participating in regulatory audits and compliance assessments.
  • Staying updated on industry technologies and regulatory changes.
  • Maintaining technical documentation such as specifications, procedures, and manuals.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 20 years of relevant experience in product quality within oil & gas plants or refineries.
