Job description

Job Purpose

Provide technical support and review of corrosion, materials, and mechanical inspection matters to ensure compliance with engineering standards, industry regulations, and best practices.

Key Accountabilities

  1. Participate in identifying and implementing improvement opportunities and action plans based on performance data.
  2. Manage and supervise the daily activities of the inspection team and contractors, including budget oversight.
  3. Optimize resource utilization to ensure timely and standards-compliant completion of tasks.
  4. Identify training needs for team members and develop plans to enhance their skills and performance.
  5. Communicate operational priorities such as safety, environmental, and profitability goals to the team and support their execution.
  6. Supervise the inspection team’s work quality and ensure contractor compliance with contractual obligations.

Minimum Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Certification in at least two API standards or international inspection certifications.

Experience:

Minimum of 10 years in the inspection field.

Core Competencies:

  • Inspection, auditing, and reporting skills
  • Process improvement and optimization expertise
  • Knowledge of process technology, metallurgy, equipment design, and corrosion mechanisms
  • Familiarity with international engineering standards and best practices
  • Material selection, metallurgy, welding, corrosion management, pipeline inspection, static equipment integrity, cathodic protection, and coating systems knowledge
  • Effective decision-making skills
  • HSE training and development capabilities

Skills:

Implement safety and efficiency improvements in manufacturing facilities through troubleshooting, technical service requests, CAPEX projects, and other initiatives to enhance plant safety and competitiveness.
