About the Role

Robert Bird Group (RBG) is seeking an experienced and client-oriented Lead Electrical Project Engineer to join our growing Building & Cities (B+C) team in Saudi Arabia. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead multi-disciplinary projects, nurture client relationships, and contribute to the continued growth of RBG and the wider SJ Group across the Middle East.

As a key member of the leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in technical excellence, team development, and client engagement , working on a portfolio of prestigious projects aligned with Vision 2030.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design and delivery of electrical engineering packages across large-scale, multi-disciplinary building and infrastructure projects.
• Act as the primary client interface, ensuring strong stakeholder management and technical clarity.
• Oversee and mentor a team of electrical engineers and designers, promoting collaboration and innovation.
• Support project pursuits, proposals, and technical presentations to drive work-winning efforts.
• Collaborate closely with mechanical, structural, and architectural teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Develop and grow a robust client and partner network to support RBG’s regional business expansion.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 10–12 years of relevant experience in building and infrastructure design, ideally within KSA or the GCC.
• Proven client-facing and project leadership experience.
• Experience in multidisciplinary project environments.
• Chartered / Professional Engineer status or equivalent preferred.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with a commercial mindset.
