Job description

We are on the lookout for a seasoned Electrical & Instrumentation Lead Engineer for one of our esteemed clients in the steel sector. This role plays a vital part in the design, engineering, and commissioning of modular equipment – including Oil & Gas Skids, Chemical Injection Units, and Metering Packages.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement full E&I scope – from bid review to FAT & SAT.

Oversee detail engineering for field/control room instrumentation & control systems (DCS, ESD, PLC, SCADA).

Ensure compliance with international standards (IEC, ASME, API RP 500, NACE, etc.).

Lead interface coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Manage and mentor a team of engineers and drafters.

Ensure the Design is Operable, Maintainable and Safe According to The Applicable Local Laws and Client Safety Standards and Meets Time Schedule.

Ensure Piping and Instrumentation Designs (P&IDs) are technically Correct and meeting Industry and Project Standards.

Experience in preparing engineering documents like Instrument index sheet, Instrument specification /data sheet, Instrument loop diagram, Instrument IO list, System architecture, Cable schedule, JB schedule, Control system specifications.

Candidate Profile:

Bachelor’s in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering (Master’s preferred).

10+ years of hands-on experience in modular process equipment design.

Strong knowledge in Shell DEP, Saudi Aramco SAMSS, GOST, and similar standards.

Proficient in AutoCAD, SP3D, MS Office, and ERP platforms.

Excellent communication in English; Arabic is a plus.

Must have the awareness in ISO Standards 9001, 18001, 14001, Quality System and all relevant codes in welding.

In-depth understanding of Engineering Drawings.
