Qualifications

Job description

Utilize your skills and become part of the dynamic real estate division of a leading group of companies in Saudi Arabia .

As a Lead Commercial Engineer (Senior Quantity Surveyor), you will oversee post-contract commercial and quantity surveying activities on major infrastructure projects. You’ll manage client invoices, variation orders, BOQs, cost tracking, and subcontract agreements, ensuring accuracy and compliance while collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Accountabilities

The position involves :

  • Managing the end-to-end quantity surveying process from cost estimation to final accounts.
  • Reviewing and analyzing revised drawings, instructions, and site changes to identify variation orders.
  • Assisting in the preparation of claims and supporting documentation for contractual entitlements.
  • Negotiating variations and cost adjustments with the Engineer or Client Representative.
  • Preparing, issuing, and managing subcontract agreements and commercial documents.
  • Coordinating with procurement for material quantity take-offs and purchase requirements.
  • Supporting tender submissions with site visits and BOQ preparation.
  • Maintaining organized and updated records of correspondence, contracts, and commercial reports.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders (Project Managers, Planning Engineers, Technical Teams, Procurement).
  • Liaising with external parties such as PMC and clients to address commercial issues.
  • Providing timely commercial reports and input as required by the direct manager.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

We are Looking for :

  • Bachelor’s degree (BSc Hons) in Quantity Surveying.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in quantity surveying and commercial roles within infrastructure or construction projects.
  • Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), UK – APC qualified.
  • Proven expertise in managing variations, claims, and contractual correspondences.
  • Strong knowledge of post-contract commercial processes and construction contracts.
  • Excellent negotiation, documentation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage commercial risk and provide detailed cost assessments.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface across departments and with external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation tools, MS Excel, and quantity surveying software.
