Lead Civil Engineer

Job Title : Lead Civil Engineer

Reporting To : Head of Technical Department (Engineering Department)

Main Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a cross-functional engineering team.

• Procurement: Develop technical and commercial proposals.

• Project Oversight: Manage project delivery, budgets, and timelines.

• Design & Development: Review civil designs and ensure code compliance.

• Site Inspections: Oversee site works and resolve on-site issues.

• Collaboration: Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors.

• Documentation: Prepare reports, drawings, and handover packages.

• Technical Guidance: Support and guide junior engineers.

• QA/QC: Enforce quality standards and review deliverables.

• Innovation: Apply new technologies and best practices.

• Client Interaction: Engage clients and manage expectations.

• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on team leadership, supervision, and QA/QC.

• More than 5 years’ experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams in infrastructure projects.

• Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.

• Strong knowledge of structural, civil, geotechnical, architectural, and hydraulic engineering principles.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Effective communication and leadership abilities.

Travelling Requirements : Travels in Egypt, Saudi Arabia or abroad may typically be required for short assignments and/or meetings attendance and/or site visits.

Education : Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field (Master's preferred).

Linguistic Skills : Excellent command of English.
