Job Description
- Oversee daily laundry operations, implementing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Manage and develop the laundry team, including task assignment, performance reviews, and training.
- Supervise all aspects of laundry processing, from receiving to delivery, ensuring high standards of cleanliness.
- Develop and manage department budgets, optimizing resource utilization including energy, water, and chemicals.
- Ensure proper maintenance of laundry equipment, coordinating with engineering for repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Collaborate with other departments, particularly housekeeping, to deliver seamless service.
- Implement and maintain health and safety standards within the laundry department.
- Analyze department performance, stay informed about industry trends, and implement innovative solutions to improve efficiency and quality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Laundry Manager or similar role in hospitality.
- In-depth knowledge of laundry equipment, processes, and textile care.
- Strong leadership skills with ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in budgeting, cost control, and resource optimization.
- Experience implementing SOPs and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in laundry operations.
- Strong communication skills and customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
