WSP is hiring a Landscape Engineer responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing outdoor environments to ensure aesthetic, functional, and sustainable landscapes.

Your new role, what's involved
  • Apply principles of engineering, environmental science, and design to create functional, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing outdoor spaces. This work blends civil engineering, horticulture, ecology, and urban planning to design landscapes that are both beautiful and environmentally responsible.
  • Analyze the site, including topography, climate, soil type, and existing vegetation, to create designs harmonious with the natural environment and practical in the long term. Collaborate with the Design Manager to ensure contractor submittals comply with the design intent.
  • Manage landscape maintenance and improvement.
  • Oversee operation and maintenance of irrigation networks and tertiary systems.
  • Focus on sustainability by reducing environmental impact through rainwater harvesting, native plants, energy-efficient lighting, and low-maintenance landscapes.
  • Be familiar with civil, structural, or environmental aspects to integrate infrastructure like drainage, water features, or lighting into landscape design.
  • Provide periodic reports on O&M, landscape and irrigation conditions, and compliance with standards and project specifications.
  • Liaise with project control, quality control, and document control teams, providing updates on contractor productivity related to landscape and irrigation.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
  • Bachelor's degree in landscape engineering, Landscape Architecture, or Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in landscape and irrigation.
  • Proficiency in CAD, GIS, and other design tools.
  • Knowledge of horticulture and ecology.
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations and sustainable design practices.
  • Familiarity with irrigation design, construction, and installation codes.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
