As a Land Surveyor, you will be responsible for creating legal descriptions of properties and establishing their boundaries. You will also be responsible for researching and interpreting historical records to determine property boundaries. The successful candidate must have specific knowledge of surveying mathematics, land use regulations, and mapping principles.

Your responsibilities as a Land Surveyor include:

• Utilizing surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS receivers, and levels to accurately measure distances and angles
• Preparing legal documentation such as survey plats, certificates of survey or maps from field data
• Examining deeds, plats, statutes or other legal documents in order to determine boundary locations
• Verifying accuracy of survey data by comparing measurements with existing records or calculations


The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Surveying or related field
• At least 2 years’ experience in land surveying techniques
