Job description

JOB PURPOSE

To conduct routine and non-routine sample analysis to assure that refinery feed, intermediate and final streams are meeting the specifications in compliance with the testing reference methods and Quality management system.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform the day-to-day work activities in order to increase refinery profit, enhance plant reliability/integrity, and promote safety & compliance with the quality management system. Verify samples and check the tags before testing.
  • Perform the quality check activities to ensure the instrument performance reliability and results accuracy such as SQC with the plotting readings in quality control charts.
  • Report out-of-order and out-of-calibration instruments to direct Shift Leader on timely manner.
  • Conduct sample analysis per approved procedures (i.e. ASTM) or other international reference analysis methods.
  • Report results accurately and timely utilizing established reporting protocols with discussion for the abnormal results with respective Shift Leader.
  • Full adherence for the ISO 17025 technical and management requirements according to the approved quality procedure and policies.
  • Observe and communicate unsafe acts/conditions, near miss and incidents to direct supervisor.
