Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Ensure the kitchen is clean, well maintained, and organized at all times.
  2. Ensure floors are dry and clean at all times.
  3. Operate pot-washing machinery and maintain a hygienic working environment in accordance with hygiene regulations and company standards.
  4. Adhere to all sanitation guidelines.
  5. Assist the Cooks and Servers as needed.
  6. Collect and remove trash from all areas of the operation following established procedures.
  7. Dispose of waste as per hotel and authority standards and adhere to recycling guidelines.
  8. Ensure waste bin area is kept clean and tidy.
  9. Carry out general cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, washing up, and emptying rubbish bins, ensuring proper placement in containers.
  10. Clean and sanitize pots, pans, utensils, and other minor equipment following established procedures.
  11. Maintain floors and walls in kitchen and dishwashing areas by following standard procedures.
  12. Clean and sanitize dishes and related serviceware following established procedures.
  13. Clean large equipment as assigned, following established procedures.
  14. Adhere to SDS (Safety Data Sheet) information related to the proper and safe use of chemicals.
  15. Operate industrial dishwashers proficiently.
  16. Ensure all equipment is clean and in good working order.
  17. Check chemical levels and inventory.
  18. Wash, wipe, sort, and store all cleaned items in an organized and safe manner.
  19. Remove broken or chipped items from circulation and update the inventory register.
  20. Clean, sanitize, and close workstations.
  21. Use and maintain all equipment according to manufacturer and department guidelines.
  22. Report maintenance or hazard issues to the stewarding manager.
  23. Assist in light food preparation as directed.
  24. Assist in serving food and beverages to residents in the dining room.
  25. Demonstrated job performance excellence may lead to growth opportunities.
  26. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  27. Clean the hood filter as per company policy.
  28. Set up the restaurant and banquet buffet.
  29. Organize the China room or storage.
  30. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen sanitation, hygiene standards, and safe handling of cleaning chemicals (SDS compliance).
  • Ability to operate and maintain dishwashing equipment and perform general cleaning tasks efficiently.
