Job summary

Job Description
Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, and repair kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, exhaust systems, etc.
- Maintain and service laundry equipment including washers, dryers, steamers, and ironers.
- Perform preventive maintenance according to schedules to avoid equipment breakdowns.
- Quickly respond to urgent repair requests from kitchen and housekeeping departments.
- Diagnose faults in electrical and mechanical systems and perform necessary repairs or recommend replacements.
- Coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs or parts procurement.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations related to electrical and gas-powered appliances.
- Maintain documentation of maintenance activities and equipment history.
- Assist in installation and setup of new equipment when required.
- Keep maintenance tools and workshop area clean and organized.
Qualifications
- Technical diploma or certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Refrigeration trades.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in a hotel or commercial kitchen / laundry environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and gas systems related to commercial equipment.
- Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, technical diagrams, and schematics.
- Basic computer skills for reporting and maintenance logs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under pressure.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and be on-call if needed.
